AGM, Club Meeting & Talk
Tuesday 4th February 2025 at 7:30pm will be the official AGM of The Royal County of Berkshire Yacht Club
The Annual General Meeting is the night where Club Officers and Committee are elected to stand to represent the Members and secure the future of the club for the next 12 months. It is also when the Officers and Committee formally report on the financial and non-financial affairs of the Club so you can find out what's happening and what's planned for the year ahead.
All Officers have to stand down at the meeting and be re-elected. Officers of the club are: Commodore, Vice-Commodore, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Management committee is responsible for Cruising, Social, Training, Website, Auditors and Chair of the Committee. We also have committee positions "without portfolio" for those interested to generally help out.
The club needs volunteers to help organize events and help run the club. if you have any spare time and would like to nominate yourself to stand for a position then please speak to any of the Committee members. Any help is very welcome.
The AGM won't take too long so we will have a social club meeting after it has finished with a talk by our outgoing Commodore, Peter Hurley, on the current RYA Sail Cruising training system covering both theory and practical courses.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our AGM. However, if you are not able to make it to the meeting, you can also see it on Zoomâ„¢.
