RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Yachmaster Coastal practical course
This is a 5 day course from Friday evening to Wednesday lunch time. Followed by 2 days of independent assessment.
This course can be undertaken by those wishing to complete either their Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore qualifications.
The course covers:
Navigation, meteorology, rules of the road, maintenance and repair work, engines, victualling, emergency situations, . Passage planning Preparation for sea Pilotage Passage making and ability as skipper. Yacht handling under power Yacht handling under sail. Adverse weather conditions Emergency situations. It prepares the skipper to be able to undertake long passages and handle more difficult sailing conditions and challenges with full confidence and the relevant expertise.
The RYA Yacht Master Theory via Zoom register interest will take your navigation and theory knowledge to the standard required for the practical course.
All food, berthing fees, fuel and use of wet weather gear as well as the tuition and yacht usage are included in the price.
The assessment and issuing of certificates are not included in the price. These are payable to the RYA directly.
